Postumo
PÓSTUMO
Póstumo was created by Jaime Ortega and Alfredo Pelayo Brambilo. Jaime worked in the Tequila industry for years and Alfredo is a master distiller with over 25 years of experience. His family also owns agave plantations in the volcanic lowlands of Jalisco. Together they wanted to create a small batch, artisanal style Tequila – something in opposition to the industrialization happening all around them. They are sourcing from family agave fields, cooking in small batches, fermenting with native yeasts, and distilling in Alembic stills. The name is in honor of the spirit of Jaime’s Grandmother, who cherished a glass of great Tequila when she was alive, and in honor of the Blue Weber Agave plant, which grows for years before giving its life force to the spirit that is Tequila.
