Augur Wine Co. is a one man show. Maz Naba has been involved with a number of great restaurants in the wine/operations role. His current day job is with Mister Jiu’s - running operations and beverage. A few years ago, Maz turned his love of wine and specifically Rosé into a passion project and Augur Wine Co. was born. His original production was only Rosé. He made 3 different styles, from light and fresh to deeper and denser to a little wacky. In 2018 he branched out with a Sauvignon Blanc and a Syrah and the results were impressive - especially for a first go. We are very excited to be working with Maz and look forward to what the bright future holds.

Augur Wine Co. Soothsayer Sauvignon Blanc

A little skin contact here lends some texture to the assertive aromatics, crisp acidity and just ripe fruit. A very easy bottle (or keg) to finish.

Augur Wine Co. The Hook Rosé

This is the lightest of the trio - Provence style, if you will. A little salty, very fresh, super clean. This is playful and hard not to like.

Augur Wine Co. The Prophet North Coast Rosé

There is a little more color and texture here, but it is still acid driven and fresh. This is the most elegant of the trio. It’s long and complex and while easy to drink, it’s a serious wine.

Augur Wine Co. Foreshadow Pinto Gris Ramato

This is a super cool wine. Amaro aromatics, medium tannin, solid acidity, all kinds of non-sweet fruit aspects. The most challenging of the trio of Rosé, but such an interesting and fun wine.

Augur Wine Co. Presage Syrah

Of all the wines, this is the one that really makes you sit up and take notice. A stunning debut Syrah. It does what the best Syrah from France can do, which is deliver powerful, compact wine with soaring aromatics at crazy low alcohol. A killer wine.
