The Piedmont Guy

The Piedmont Guy was founded by Weston Hoard. He is a midwest guy who moved to Barolo to work with Paolo Scavino. After four years in Barolo, he returned to the midwest and decided to try to bring some of his experience to the masses by importing wines solely from Piedmont. Shortly afterwards, Cameron Abbott joined the team and more recently Amy Ezrin threw in with the guys. They are a small team that brings a huge amount of experience and talent to the game.

It is rare for an import company to focus so narrowly on a specific region, but that focus is part of what attracted us to them. When the focus is narrowed, the vision tends to go deeper. The result with The Piedmont Guy is exceptional wines at tremendous value. Finding great wines to import is not always that hard - finding great wines to import that over-deliver for their price is always extremely challenging. The Piedmont Guy team is pulling this off with aplomb and we are thrilled to be distributing them in California.
