Granville Wine Co.
Jackson Holstein literally grew up in the vines. His father was the go-to vineyard guy during the development of the Willamette Valley. He planted and managed hundreds of acres of vines, often with Jackson in tow. The vineyard was like a second home to Jackson and it’s still the place where he feels most comfortable.
Predictably, Jackson followed in his father’s footsteps and is now a respected vineyard manager. He is also co-owner with his wife Ayla of Granville Wines. Together they have created one of the most exciting and authentic wineries in the Willamette Valley. They are working exclusively with organic or biodynamic vineyards on Basalt soils in the Dundee Hills and Eola Amity Hills, including their estate property, the Holstein Vineyard. Jackson manages their estate vineyard and has very close working relationships with the farmers of all of the other sites they use. The winemaking is simple, honest, and attentive. Native yeast fermentation, partial whole cluster, reductive winemaking, judicial use of SO2, and aging in French Oak with 15 to 30% new.
These are some of the most exciting Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines we have tasted in recent memory. They have precise fruit, great structure and a real sense of nobility. And to cap it off, they are made by wonderful people. We are honored to represent the wines and lucky to get to work with Jackson and Ayla.

Holstein Pinot Noir
The Holstein Estate Vineyard is located on Jackson’s Childhood property in the Dundee Hills of Oregon. Originally planted in 1972, the 10- acre property is uniquely situated on the eastern edge of the Dundee Hills at an elevation ranging from 615 to 720 feet. Portions of the vineyard face all directions, providing diversity and unique tendencies from each block. The soil beneath is classified as Jory – rich in both iron and clay with fractured basalt bedrock underneath. The Holstein Estate vineyard is Granville’s North star. From bud break to harvest, it shapes the approach to the season across all fruit sources. Internally farmed and touched by every person on the team, this site is meticulously doted over all year long and has a long track record of producing world class wines.
